Rise of the YIMBY brings hope for the next generation

We're all familiar with the way in which NIMBYs oppose development and apply political pressure for perfectly acceptable planning applications to be refused, or housing targets to be watered down.

But, in the midst of the worsening housing crisis, we're beginning to see a new phenomenon: YIMBYs - "Yes In My Back Yard!"

The goal of YIMBYs is to ensure that everyone can afford a safe, comfortable home and they're organising to push back against the anti-development lobby.Our managing director, Paul Smith, wrote about this growing trend for Housing Today.
