The Strategic Land Group (SLG) has secured a new promotion agreement for a residential site in West Lancashire, with the potential to deliver around 450 new homes.
The approximately circa 42-acre site will be promoted through the emerging West Lancashire Local Plan as SLG works to unlock the land for future residential development.
Located within an established community, the site offers the opportunity to deliver new homes in a sustainable location while supporting West Lancashire Borough Council’s long-term housing requirements.
SLG will now begin promoting the site, which is identified as Grey Belt, through the Local Plan process, working alongside professional advisers to bring the land forward for development.
Paul Smith, Managing Director at SLG, said: “We look forward to working with the landowner and our advisers to bring this new site forward through the West Lancashire Local Plan process. Sites like this have the potential to make an important contribution towards future housing needs while creating well-planned developments that integrate seamlessly with existing communities.”
SLG is one of the UK’s most successful residential, commercial and renewable energy land promoters and is actively promoting sites with the potential to deliver almost 4,000 homes with a combined GDV of circa £1.2bn.
Mills & Reeves advised SLG on the legal aspects of the agreement, while Hourigan Planning will act as planning consultant on the project. The landowner was advised by Acland Bracewell, with Napthens providing legal support.
